Is anyone going this year or been there before? Just had a few questions and wanted to see if anyone could answer them.

Posted by: jcsact

I have raced there before. It was in the utility class though. I could probably answer most of your questions.

Is it a good place to race?
Whats the track like?
Does the competition run on the same level as local or lower?
Good idea to go?
You gonna be there?

Yes its a good place to race.
The track will be pretty easy because they don't have much room to build one on.
The competition will be alot easier then Quad City but there will be alot more riders.
Would be a good idea to go even just to watch.
I will be there watching. Wish i could race but the foots got me out for awhile.

Hope this helps!

Oh ill be racing, i was just wondering about setup, is the track like mx or more flat?

Posted by: MX_Racer_20

last year they had a lot of little jumps and just on big table top so i wouldn't worry to much about your setup.

Posted by: trx400ex

sweet i cant wait, think i should race money quad?

Posted by: jcsact

Warrick County's race is July 9th.

It is ok but made more for bikes. It kind of gets narrow in a few spots.

Like MX_Racer said not a lot of big jumps but it is tight. I will be watching this year. I sold my Wolverine so I would be racing in a different class with all you younger guys. I plan on going to a QC a few more times to play on my Z before I start any racing.

I think there were maybe 5-6 quads in it last year. 4 R's and maybe 1 or 2 EX's

Good Luck

Posted by: MX_Racer_20

money class will be the toughest class of the night.

Posted by: howboutchaw

hey fellas
When is the Vanderburg race anyone know what time it's starts?
Where is the Warrick CO. race at on the 9th.
Anybody going to QC thursday to practice?

Posted by: trx400ex

www.blackcoal.org has info, its on the 21st

id like to go to quad city if i can get my quad back together, i doubt i will but it would be a sweet place to try out my new carb

Posted by: trx400ex

IS there practice at QC every thursday? If there is i might go the 10th

Posted by: howboutchaw

trx400ex
yes QC has practice every thurday from about 3:00 till dark.
It costs 10 bucks and it Can get dusty as a mofo. Other then that it's sweet as hell!

What kind of carb did you go with.

Also have you ever gone to motorhead park. it fairly sweet.

Posted by: trx400ex

Oh they dont water any for practice? It would be a good time to try some of those triples....how many riders usually show up, bikes and all?

never been to Motorhead yet...

I went with an 39FCR, i had one before, but sold it before i got to use it for $$$ then got another stock one, now curtis sparks says i need a bigger carb and that will fix my motor, i guess im starving it or something

Posted by: 416exmx

i think i walked away with the first place trophy last year from vanderburg co. fair race in the 400 class and like 3rd in the money. bike motor won and like dale in second. money class was loaded with trick quads. I wanna go to quad city too.

Posted by: howboutchaw

They normaly have a good Qaud turn out for practice I say about 13 last time I went. I say about 15-20 bikes. The guy that runs the show does a good job makeing sure it does't get to dangerous out there. He flags people off the track if it gets to crazy. Also he does sometimes disk it.

Man a fcr would be sweet.

Posted by: jcsact

Last week there was 6-8 quads and 2-3 bikes. Not very busy at all. I might try to make it up this tomorrow. If you go and you see a big guy on a Z that looks like this. That would be me! I have to get my nerve up to clear the doubles before I even think about hitting a triple. I was sore for 2 days after last weeks pratice but I had fun and that is all that matters to me.

I won 1st in Utility Class for the last 2 years but I will have to pass the torch to some one else this year. LOL

You weren't the one that just about crashed everytime you jumped last year in the utility class where you? I also think this same person ran over a hay bale on the big table top last year. If i remember correctly i think he was on a recon.

Posted by: jcsact

No that wasn't me. LOL I was on a green wolverine. THat guy was in the lead and would have won but he cased a jump and then tried to catch back up to me and he flipped at the finish in the whoops.
