Hey we have a few cans of K+N filter oil somone gave us(from his car racing days) i wanna know if the oil is good for a foam filter is says "use only on k+n fabric or whatever there made of can't think of it but whill it hurt my foam filter?? does it keep out dust? my stepdad says it will work fine but sometimes he just says stuff to save money but i would rather get new oil than toast mi motor

The K&N oil will work but not nearly as good as foam filter oil which is much thicker and more tacky. It will not harm the filter but the filters effectiveness in trapping dirt/dust will be much lower.
