I always take my spark arrestor off on my 250ex.
If i take it out and keep it out what jet do i have to run????

well is it stock muffler if it is i have a friend that does the same thing wih his 400ex i dont think u have to do anything maybe re-jet the carb thats all

when I had my 400ex stock exhaust I took my arrestor off & all it did was make it louder & gain or lose no power so I wouldnt really reccommend taking it off. & let the exhaust cool down fir a bout an hour when you take those screws off cause they break really easy.

my buddy has a 400 and he took his spark arrestor out of his stock pipe.....it has no power, and with only a fmf slip-on and k&n filter on mine I smoke him. His is also a 2002, mines a 2000....and I can garentee mines rallied way more hard core...so I would recomend not taking it out, just buy a pipe if you want more noise/power.

not only do people say it makes no power gains, all it does is make it louder for people to hate you more and why run around taking a chance on makin a fire?

Also i think with it out it doesn't really sound that good, its better to just leave it in or get a slip-on/

I think with the stock silencer on, takeing your airbox lid off makes more noise. It also adds power. I would recomend doing that before taking the baffle out.

i had to have my e series welded a while ago, so i put the stocker back on. i took the spark arrester off...brother says it sounds like a POS harley

it really cracks when the engine is pullin hard.but ill agree, it adds no power
