Posted by: Nausty

kinda fuzzy but oh well. looked kinda like a dead body at first

Posted by: Nausty

sorry guys, still havn't done a no foot can. I just don't feel comfortable on this jump because I gotta hit it 3rd gear with all its got and I just blow through the suspension on the face and drag the bottem of my bike. KInda unpredictable to learn new stuff. Its still a blast to hit but just not the best jump for trying new tricks.

Last pic, of a not so good heel clicker.

Posted by: Nausty

heres a pic from two days ago. Not the best pics but something new right?

Posted by: kxrider

nausty are u on 2 diffrent quad in the pics cuase the jumps are diff from the wheelies??????

Posted by: Nausty

when I was riding wheelies the day those pictures were taking on had on my race tires and wheels. When I was jumping I had my stock tires and wheels on so I didn't wear my holeshots down because they wear REALLY fast. Anyways you can tell its me in all the pics because look at the number plates, bumper and helmet.

Hey Nausty, remember I told you about my experience with that wheelie!? LMAO.

Posted by: Narly R

You can do a heelclicker but no no-footed can!? I can do that and not even come close to a heelclicker!!! But Ill do it some day! Nice pics!

Do u go out and do tricks by yourself? That would be hard! I do stuff when Im with friends but I must be pushed Im just lazy I guess. I still ride but just not jump but you guys dont really care probably so Ill talk to ya later!

Posted by: Nausty

i do tricks by myself and learn tricks by myself That goes for air freestyle and wheelies. I can pry do no foot cans I just never get the guts to try em' and thats not exactly the best jump to try it on. I wish we would of got pictures of the case marks on the face of the jump from me botteming.

Maybe one of these days i'll get to ride with 300ex_man and we'll get to step each other up.

hey nausty,i taught myself how to do the no-footed can, by pullin my quad in the shop and holdin the brake and bouncin the shocks like i hit a jump jumped in the air and hit the trick, then i went and hit a jump and did a perfect no-footed can ,but i forgot to bring my leg back so i put both feet in nerfbars when i landed and it didn't hurt or anything so try throwing both feet out and just puttin them in the nerfs so your leg can get used to goin to that side.then hit it and do the trick and bring it back.but don't get to okay with it b/c i did and put both feet to that side and when i landed and turned the opposite direction and bout flipped but,now i have no problems with the no-footed can,but could you tell me what i'm doin wrong on my heel-clicker,every time i bring my legs up they barely get a inch other the tips of the bar or get stuck on my arms, when i'm in the air do i need to pull my body closer the the bars so i can get a better exten.,or what do you do everytime, and can you pull off a superman yet ,i can almost now but i can't get it perfectly, well thanks and i hope you hit that no-footed can soon

Posted by: Nausty

na I can't do a superman either but I think I could do both if I just nutted up and went for em'. On the heel clickers the main thing is to preload as hard as you can off the face and imagine your gonna jump on the bars. Its really quite easy. You're having the same problem I had you just gotta work on getting your butt higher and closer to the bars.

Posted by: DaveEX7

I hadda bad experience with a heel-clicker..... I went to swing my legs around and I said this isnt gonna work so I went to pull them back but I got hung up on the handlebars and landed that way and fell off the side.... any suggestions on how to fix this (besides not wearing baggy pants)

Posted by: Derek

Get some pics of you doign other tricks.

Put your hands on the end of the handlebars so they cause your legs to just "deflect" off your arms and not get caught on the handlebars. I always regrip before I do a heel clicker so I know they won't get caught up. Also its not a trick you half to do all or nothing. Just start small with trying to touch your legs to your arms and then just try to get your legs to tough higher up on your arms and then try to bend you knees so they point out and start trying to bend them around your arms and you'll have it in no time. The main thing is getting a good preload off the face.

I know my tricks arn't much but they are a lot for having a almost stock quad (shocks, exhaust and filter) and busting them off a jump with almost no transition that is about 4 1/2, 5ft tall where I almost always bottem leaving case marks on the face. Don't get me wrong a lot of the jumps are fun jumps, just not the best for freestyle.

Posted by: Nausty

heres from the side, i'm still going up. I'm going out today. I'll bring the camera in case I wanna try something new. I normally land right where the picture cuts off.

EDIT: Somone must be a little jealous giving the thread one star.

Posted by: 300extreme#8

well some friends came over today and talked me into gettin my 300 out and i took them to my other friends tabletop(about 4 feet tall and 20 ft long)well they told me to jump it b/c they did know how good i jumped well after jumpin once or twice i remembered what you said and hit the jump jumped up to throw my legs out just to make sure i was quick enough to do it on the small jump, well i went a head and did no-footed cans and no-handed landers ,well i decided to do the heel clicker and did it ,it wasn't perfect or anything but it was good enough to be called a heel clicker so i just wanted to say thanks for the tip,it really helped me out.did my advice on the no-footed can help any.have you tried it yet

Posted by: 300extreme#8

oh yea soon as i get some gas and get the guts i'm goin to try the superman, but i broke my toe today so it prob. be a week or so,well wish me luck

good jobs on the tricks man. I still never tryed the no foot can I didn't get to ride as long as I wanted and i'm scared to do it on these jumps.

Got some new pics though!

not much but I figured i'd wouldn't push it to hard because I thought we were gonna be there longer than we were.

One time I came so close to coming up short lol. That woulda sucked.

nice pictures like always Nausty

awesome pics nausty, ya got any new wheelie pics

Posted by: Nausty

na, no wheelie pics. I hardly ever ride wheelies unless someone wants to tape me for footage for the cvboyz video. I use to do wheelies when I was bored but now that I got a license i'm out at the track. It would be fun if I had somone else to do em' with but I don't even know many people that can ride a regular wheelie that well little less do any tricks.

Posted by: A4StrokeGuy

Well i'll give u a free bump and post u few pics. This one is a new jump we built about a 45-50ft double. This is the first time i anyone jumped it, it was my friends grad. party so i figured i had an audience so nutted up and did it!

Posted by: A4StrokeGuy

This is probably the best pic i have. Thats me busting out the lame arse no footer and my friend/co worker/race team partner/track owner Guy on our step up table top type jump. It has rail road tyes as the lip and its almost total vertical. The landing is around 35ft long and we haven't even gotten close to clearing it, its a definant kicker!

side

if you want more pics from other angles or differant spots just ask.

I don't like the number plates on there at all but I think thats about as good as it'll look with em'. I might do black on white next year. Also I gotta figure out something to do with the head light covers. I think i'll paint them black with that special plastic paint.

now you got your liscense pm me or call me when you heading out there.. we can do a little freestyle there..

Posted by: 300extreme#8

hey nausty,it looks like you can ride the heck out of a wheelie,i'm not try to brag but i think i'm pretty good myself, i can start in first bring her up shift all the way to fifth and just keep on ridin it forever,i'm pretty sure you can to since you can do all them wheelie tricks but do you use your clucth i do every now and then but most the time i don't ,i've being riding without using the clucth for a year just about everytime i ride and it never has messed anything up,well aslong as you don't hit the gas while shiftin, well i was bored and just wanted to ask you so i guess i'll stop talkin right now

I use to use my clutch religously but my one of my dads friends who seems to know about everything with the 400ex said it wouldn't hurt the motor as long as i let off the gas and it shifts just as smooth most of the time. So now I don't use it when i'm racing or need to not use the clutch.

Posted by: DaveEX7

My friends 400ex he can just let the clutch out without any gas at all and have it not stall on him. Not let it out very slowly so it just putts along, he pops it like you would doing a wheelie.. is that normal or is there something wrong.

Posted by: Nausty

is his clutch slipping? I dunno, I'm not a good mechanic. I know I can get my quad to get going without giving it any gas.

Posted by: mx517

those are some cool pix

Im not a good mechanic either, all I know is that he rolled it on the clutch side and since then its been doing that...... but on the up side you dont haveta worry about stallin it.

Hey Nausty, Do have any good pics with ur pipe in it? I should be getting a 400 by the end of the summer and i really like ur setup. How do u like the Sparks pipe? ...And the Elkas?

Everyone I know loves the Sparks X-6 pipe, and they mostly run Elkas all around <--- anticipated response.

Posted by: Nausty

sparks pipe is pretty cool but I don't like having rivots coming out and seeing them taking short cuts by rivoting through the packing but the performance makes up for it with the right jetting.

I'm not to happy with the performace of the elka's but every time I explained why I got shot down. Save yourself the trouble and just go with tcs or pep if your gonna mx.

Whats next on the quad list?

Posted by: Nausty

i dunno....gusset the frame, maybe a cheap 416 kit or fcr, stem, few other small things. It'll pry be a while tell I get any parts because of the 1200 bucks or so spent on rear end.

Posted by: DaveEX7

Id get the 416 kit but thats just me cause I dont think a stem is as important as more power and speed, but its your call. Good Luck.

Posted by: Nausty

yeah but i dunno if I wanna build my quad up to a crf hybrid quad... It might be a waste of money and I wanna taller stem that is farther forward cuz i'm a pretty big guy and it feels like a small quad.

Posted by: mxblaster00

sweet pics nausty. love the bike and setup. yea i havent had much luck with elkas either. when i had my cdale i had elkas on em and sold them and bought TCS. loved em. sold the bike though for a truck and now i got a blasty. need new shocks a.s.a.p its horrible to jump with stockers(i dont try huge jumps).

Posted by: Nausty

yeah i'd like to go with full tcs and some long travel a-arms. Right now i'm just saving my money tell I decide what I wanna do.

Posted by: DaveEX7

Dustin, why is your bike out of comission?

Posted by: Nausty

basically long story short my rear end is thrashed and i'm waiting on parts so we put my dads rear end on my quad and now that rear end is jacked.

Posted by: DaveEX7

How did your rear end get screwed up in the first place?

Posted by: Nausty

jumping it to hard I guess.

Posted by: DaveEX7

How much is it to get fixed?

Posted by: Glow Plug

What do you think is wrong with the elkas??

bearings?
rpm axle 550?

I think thats about everything
pry around 1300 bucks but at least i'm done with the rear end.

Glow Plug they just don't seemed to be valved that great I made a thread on it a while back. Basically they feel really mushy/spongy. I dunno after riding on other shocks I know they feel a lot better and we've spent plenty of time messing with the settings on our shocks.

its the dominator 1, i looked up the price from the people we bought it from and it was actually 470.

Show us them when you get new ones.

Posted by: Nausty

i will but it pry won't be for a long while. I think i'm going to Joe Byrds riding school this weekend and my dad won't let me stop racing so i'm still not gonna have a lot of time to relearn a lot of my freestyle/wheelie stuff (as if I had any) and get more footage for the video.

Posted by: Nausty

lol, yeah. I'm suppose to go this weekend but he was suppose to call to make sure the weather was good and didn't want to post pone it but we still havn't heard a answer from him.

On another note though I rode wheelies a couple hours today with my new rear end and I rocked. I gotta lotta good video footage but no pictures. I got kinda a new wheelie where you go into a nac nac while riding a wheelie, and turn around and look behind you and point at the camera. Looks pretty cool on video. Also I was just busting out crazy tricks in a row just winging things. A couple times I did some donuts in a gravel road with my feet over the bars to straiting it out and jump out of a ditch into a high chair wheelie. Kinda hard to explain. I'm not sure if I that much air but it felt like a few inches but I think if you saw the video you'd be like . I was surpised at how little the extended swingarm hurt my wheelies and i'm really liken the new axle. Its a little bit harder to two wheel but I can just whip the thing around with no regard it seems without worrying about it rolling. If I would of been on a stock axle I pry would of rolled it about 10 times today just messing around. I'm gonna try to get a little bit more wheelie footage and then go to bussey one of these days with my friend who always video tapes me and hopefully bust off some freestyle and some sic jumps.

I also messed around witht he backwards wheelie for a couple minutes and i'm sure I can learn it the whole way with ease. Still gotta learn no handers, bar hop wheelies(where you stand on the seat and jump to a high chair wheelie), I think thats what they call it anyways. Also I gotta learn ape hangers and a couple other tricks.

Last time I went riding I about got down no foot cans on a not so good freestyle ramp and messed around with cliff hangers and i'm sure I could learn both fully in a hour or two.

Posted by: trueblue450

lets go to bluff and freestyle then..

I need a good camera man to take some pics.. then we can do some tandem freestyle. both in the air doing cliff hangers i think that would look SWEET!

Posted by: Nausty

sounds like a plan, I got your number and i'll call you in advance when I know i'll have a weekend to do it. Next few weeks i'll be busy tho.

Posted by: trueblue450

yeah.. i got race this weekend on sunday at fortdodge.
but the weekend after that I believe i have off. Sometime somtime well get to ride again!

Posted by: Nausty

the weekend after I think we might be able to work something out now that I think about it. Right now i'm getting ready to go to Joe Byrds riding school for the weekend.

Posted by: 250exlogan

what did you cut your fenders with?

Posted by: Nausty

just did a search and found this thread. I like it so i'm gonna give it a bump.

Havn't got any new pics for a longg time and havn't done much riding at all lately just because all the tracks are always tore up and the quad needs work. We're working on it now though.

Just got new +2 a-arms, we're gusseting the frame, powdercoating the frame candy apple red, going with the 440 kit after riding varmits quad. I'm getting a lotta parts polished, got a "new" stock reinforced stem and i'm getting my shocks revalved. My quads really coming a long and since I made this post I think I've gotten a entirely new rear end pretty much, rpm +2 axle, rpm + 1 3/4 swinger, lsr carrier, antifade locknut.

Also we're gonna switch the nerfs around on my quad so I get the ones that mount up to the lower stock pegs and we're gonna weld both sets of stock pegs together so they are double wide.

Shes really coming along lol. After this I won't have much left but a couple of little things like steering dampner and other little things.

Anyways thats up w/ me and quads since i'm never on anymore. I'm getting the itch to ride to ride so bad too.

Posted by: Glow Plug

what kind of a arms you get?

sounds like your going to have a kick arse quad nausty

Posted by: Nausty

we bought used and I don't remember the brand name, its been re powdercoated so if it has it on there it isn't anymore. They are +2 if I didn't say it in the other post.
