if you're building one like the first one i posted you HAVE to use 3/4" plywood for the sides, that steep one only had 1/2" and the beginning of hte jump broke off cause it wasnt strong enough

Posted by: hessianmx111
yeah there not mine mines the bike one
Posted by: muff
yea the one on the left is 48" wide, i didnt hit it after i got my +2s, too sketchy
as for plans look at the way halfpipes and other bicycle jumps are designed and just build somethin like that but beefier
Posted by: D-4our
hey quadracer, one rule of thumb that i noticed on the way most of the pro ramps are built is that the height should be one- third of the length, EX: 8' tall and 24' long

How much work is into building a ramp? Or should I just stick with dirt?
Posted by: Shift_DVS
ramps take time and can be hard to make but the end result surpasses all the time and hard work put into it. or you can just use dirt... that always seems to work well
Posted by: Ryan
Yeah, I never had any problem with dirt
. Maybe i'll build a ramp in the future, though.
Posted by: MojaveKing
Jon.......scannin Pictures of the New jumps or what.....??
Posted by: Sick0
5 years ago I made a metal box jump for BMX jumping. well we still use it.
Posted by: honda250xrider

go to www.motoxschool.com and find the build a ramp thing. they show you how to make a nice wood one just modify it by adding more braces and making it wider for a quad

looks like a fun jump maybe not the best freestyle jump but I bet it would still be decent as long as you keep the lip nice and preload. Good Job.

Hey muff how did you get your steel bent i just bought a **** load of 2" square tubing. And i was wondering if you got it rolled at a steel shop or what because i cant find any one who has a steel roller where i live. and also what are the dimensions of that ramp? the one i am building is 6'5 ft tall and 12'5ft long. Do you guys think that it needs to be longer.
Sorry for so many questions but i dont want a peice of ***** ramp that i paid alot for.
Thanks for any replies!
