Hey guys have the tank off to check the valves and do some cleaning. Is the clarke 5.5 gal worth the 195 bucks?
I just figured since it is off I could upgrade
but debating because of the price. Now I do go riding for a good day usually and hate the refilling and checking of the level.
You guys that have em let hear your input!!

well if trails is all u do then yes but if u race mx or anything the incresed top weight will kill ya. But if ur a trail rider conerned about furl economy then yes go for it...................althought i could ride my 400 all day with 1 tank of gas reving the heck out of her with even going below half a tank and i was covering roughly 42 miles a day....................

i could do 80+ miles with the stock tank, and with the clarke i'd be pushing almost 200 miles. I've never checked it though, but i've ridden for like 2 days straight without refilling.

ha i think u could go fro about 2 hours on a 250r stocker.

That is a lot of money for what your getting... How much is a bumper and gas can? (you know the gas can bumper holder...) Stock is good for me, I just ride till I hit reserver then I fill up...

Ditto, I've never went through a tank as fast as I did at my first XC race, 2hrs 15min.

the main reason i got the clarke was because those ims ones in my mind, suck, and also, some of the loops i get on out here can end up being well over a hundred miles long.

i just hope the 4 gal tank wont affect my mx

If you race MX you might not want the extra weight, but just fill it up some not full for MX. Has anyone tried it with something other than stock plastic?

Thanks alot guys for the insight.
Mostly is woods riding. - trails vary in length rides can last about 6-8 hours.
I have thought about putting a gas can on the back rack but do not like the grab bar sticking out in the rear.
Has anyone ever tried different than oem plastic with the clarke?
