I finally ordered my new plastic today plus a few other goodies for the Predator... So tell me , how big of a pain is the maier plastic to put on the 400ex?

What color you order ? I heard its easy and hard to put it on from different people. But I have never put Maier on a 400 I just got stock plastic again:blah

Maier plastic was really easy for me to put on. I just have little brackets for the fenders. The hardest part is just switching the lights over. I did put them in, but then took them out.

I guess until mine comes, Ill clueless to what you meant by that

.. So, was it hard to get the plastic to fit around the headlights?? Why is it that all the Co. make it so hard for ANYTHING to fit

.. I remember what a beeitch itwas getting on my headpipe for my 300ex.. btu anyhow, I love the look with the headlights on so cross your fingers I can get them on.....

OH. Any helpful hints like, any extra hardware I should be buying?? sahould I replace any old hardware from the old plastic and put new on?

Well, I was going to keep my old set for racing season to change out and use my new ones for duning, but after I read the detail in swapping out the plastic, seems like more hassle, so I am going to sell my plastic.. Ill post it in the for sale section

The Maier Race-cut as I have is very easy to install. It just has two small L brackets that hold the front and the rear bolts up like stock. The stock cut Maier is however a bit longer to get on and off.

My maier is stock cut, and its no harder to get off. The lights fit in the holes fine QuadJunkies, but what I am trying to say is its VERY EASY. The hardest part was just plugging in wires, and tightening bolts.

I guess if my plastic doesnt sell, Ill just buy more hardware and use them if I bite it big on the track this fall!

If you can spare the extra dollars, you should buy a set of full bore.Those ae some really nice plastic

thanks my new setup (lt front end) i got a killer deal on still costed me 1,400 dollars! i got +4's and axis fully adj shocks (triple rate) so i am on a budget now lol!

it adds up quick huh! I know in ll, I have spent around 1400.00 in about threee days too.. We bought a full system for the predator and a few other things, it just adds up WAY too fast....

aftermarket companies get ya really bad i just set myself a reserve go up to that and get what i really need then save up more and speend away and hopefully i will have the quad i want by.............say next year?

Is that Maier? Does full bore make orange for the 400ex? I wasnt sure if I liked orange, but its reallytaken to me now!:blah If I had the $$$ though, I think I would like a custom painted set for duning and havethe guy that full bore reccomended me to do it. The trinity is going on the Predator I have a Yoshi full system on mine...they told me it was a LOUd one, w/o the spark arrester(i would have one regarless)And w/ o, its DB is appox 105!

so this should quiet it down a bit. I should be getting my seat color samples in the mail tomorrow to mathc up to the plastic.

NOTHING wanted to fit properly I think I had a miss fit or something.... I was wondering. why does mine have the mounting bolts showing on top of the fenders?

this was the only thing I dont like about them.......but I sure love the way it looks!!!!! Ill post some tomorrow... now I need a new seat!:blah I want some opinoins on some colors Im going to post too, I got my color samples in the mail, hopefully they are big enough for you to see when I post them

How about with a littel grey thrown on the mix? maybe a little white on my vilyl graphics not sure yet on that one...Ill have to take a look at it in the computer before printing them

Now all I have to order is new black rings around the headlights(the old ones dont look as nice being faded out a bit) and some black shockwears and black nerfs... HAHA. Pro pegs are saweet,but not sweet enough for close to 300.00

I think Ill get the Arens next....

Im not buying my nerfs right away

I am ordering new nets today and new black covers for the headlights..My suspension will come next year, sometime in Aug. Ill be ordering a sway bar ,beadlocks, tires and lowering kit for fall racing..

A friend of mine's. The lower right a-arm bolt, in the heim end on the spindle, came out last night 5th gear pinned. He hit the wall/hay bales, broke the fence down for 15 feet, broke off two cedar posts, bent the top a-arm, bent the tie rod into an L shape, bent his front bumper, and went about 15 feet off the bike.

Its funny, my stock seat color looks really orange now instead of red with the new plastic

... Im going to cut it down just a little more and smooth it out on my next day off...

putting on this wk end. We went duning for three daysand didnt have the time to dial it in this last wk end., also waiting for a couple of new gaskets to put on had to be ordered so hopefully be ready to put on by Fri.

This should be interesting.No one I know had one, (I was there 3rd customer)but they have been very cool about keeping me updated on any simple mods to help on dialing it in and any HP increases I can get out of it.

We got a gasket off a street bike to try so tonight the pipe goes on!!!:blah hope it fits......
