Great to see young kids getting involved. I started my three boys when they were as young as 4 on a older Honda Z-50. That was the best thing I ever did. Here are a few pics of two of my boys...

My 11 year old on his TTR-125

My 10 year old on his KX-65

Jim, why are you making your son wear a helmet? It's only a small, XR70 pitbike and nobody ever gets hurt riding them

BTW, nice pics

It's that same Ohio Mafia way of thinking that puts our sport in the wrong light.....Ever since you got rid of your Dale, your thought process has been all screwed up......

I was about to jump all over this till I saw who it was. I know you are joking. I ALWAYS make my son wear his helmet, I do too.

Looks like a fun day of riding

looks good once he gets comfortable on the bike start teachin him to keep his elbows up, ride the tank in corners, when standing always be able to look down and see the number plate if he ever decided to get into racing hell be way ahead of the game if he knows alll that stuff

as far as the helmet thing i think its good his son is wearing a helmet, its a totally different thing when ur talking about 17 and older people ridin pitbikes without a helmet and if i wore a helmet on mine it wouldnt be anything more than a skate helmet, its not like your 17 18 25 30 and know u should wear a ghelmet or u could get hurt, u could really uck your self up not wearing it and people look and say what a dumbass no one should ride a dirtbike without a helmet but if its on a quad they think that has 4 wheels it shouldnt tip over! i say u guys gotta stop passing judgement on the mini mx guys its there choice and no one really cares what they do cept some quad guys

Awsome pics Jim, looks like it was a nice quiet day for him to start riding Whats with the floating piece of plywood in your garage? I started on a Honda 50R, moved up to a KX 80 and then a RM 80 (all were my friends bikes that I just started to ride...). My dad gets grounded off my Sled and ATV's for not wearing a helmet mom's rule! He rode the sled once this year at the very begining without helmet and wasn't allowed to ride it for the rest of the year LOL
