I raced Halleck XC last Saturday, It was my first trip there. Man there were no breaks in that course at all. If you weren't on the gas climbing twisty rocky loose muddy hills. You were on the brakes coming down one. It was great. People got stuck on hills. people flipped completely over in the path. People got high centered on huge rocks. I passed all kinds of people and thought I was tearing it up. But I got tired fast and ended up placing 5th in my class. I thought I had a top three finish. But I guess not.
I tried to race my CR the same day. Man I was so tired from the first race i didn't have it left in me. But guess what... Barry Hawk raced there. So i pulled over at a hill and watched him tear the track Apart! He's a pretty smooth operater out there compared to the rest of them!
