Got 1 st in the 25+ class and 2nd overall. I say second overall because they had the 25+, Open 4 stroke D, 350 Open, and 300+ aircooled class's all running together and I finished 2nd outa all these classes in both races...kinda sucked though racin in the dark both moto's..

Normally that's how it goes but racin in the light at least 1 moto is nice,,but not tonight. It was muddy and slick as ice on the track and lots of wrecks..

Here's a shot of what people in the stands see...if the flash was off on my camera i think they woulda turned out better..

YOu can kinda see me hammerin down in the turn... I think there was a banshee somewere close behind me...2nd outa the hole both times and never got passed or did any passing. And it felt real good ta be lined up against a nice lookin banshee with T5's and beat him outa the hole slung roost on a couple rapturds too.:devil

They is da chit...them 19in holeshots up front don't hold a candle to the kenda's and I can't say enough about the Elka's. The rear is setup for 100% XC and the fronts are 70% XC and 30% MX...and they soaked up everything with ease...never even came close to bottoming them out. There's ski jump at the track that is nuts to jump off of,,,the works fronts I had usually would get pushed to the limit on this jump, not the elka's. It's a good 12 foot drop and about 60+ feet downhill..and the SSD setup makes goin thru corners feel like your on rails. My thumb that got jacked up when i hit that tree in my last XC gave me some troubles in the second moto but I still held everybody off and surprised myself..

Congrats man... Looks muddy

So no changes on the track from last year? No c class racing with you? I see they got a new fence... I raced there one moto in the dark last year and i thought it was alot of fun, it made going off that down hill jump a little creepy though.

Well I believe there are only 2 sponsored MX riders for the quadshop myself being one of them. The rest of the guys are XC racers..but i think Jeff is gonna come down and race with me a few times...

:confused2 what i noticed about my works shocks are there really stiff and dont soak up too much of the lil stuff but on big jumps they work really good, congrats on 1 st

Great job, Rico! Congrats! I am the other sponsored MX quad racer.....our first practice race weekend is coming up this weekend....no points, but we get to race for fun on a totally new track that will be run in the opposite direction of last season......JIM
