Where in Mt Carrol is this located?

How are you doing at the Bike Barn races?

I only know that it is near Mt Carrol, I have not been there yet. I will try and get some directions if you like.

I have not raced yet, I just got my new Elka piggybacks 2 days ago, so hopefully ill get to try them out soon, next weekend maybe.

You are in Morrison right? where and what do you ride?

The Mt. Carroll track is about a mile north of town on 78. You can't see it from the highway, but there is a sign. I looked at it last fall and it looks like a lot of fun. It seems to be a little more ATV friendly without the huge jumps designed for bikes.

Zfire-
I have a 400 ex, 2 buddies with 400ex's, one with a predator. We have some private land we ride on. I've ridden in Rock Falls before. We are going to try and ride where the Bike Barn had its last race.

Do you live around Mt Carrol?

Is Mt. Carrol open to the public?

mbiigambler,
Where did the Bike Barn have their last race, Morrison, or Prophetstown? I do know that if you want to ride at the Bike Barn, Bill charges $125 for a yearly pass.

Posted by: podylt250r

mbiigambler, I'm from Lake Geneva, WI which is about 2 hours away from Mt. Carrol, but I would have no idea where in Mt. Carrol the track is at. You said that you have private land that you ride on?? If it's any good, I would be interested in riding there. As for this 'bike barn', what is it???

The Bike Barn has a MX track, and a 4 mile wooded trail , that you can ride if you pay the $125 yearly fee. They have mx or xc races there almost every weekend, but the main event is the full size trucks (mud & dirt drags)

podylt250r,
Sorry I meant to ask 250ral about the Mt Carrol track. We have around 40 acres that we ride - decent trails but probably not worth the 2 hour drive.

The bike barn will be having a big race June 7 & 8. Its the third round of the Eastern WORCS series. Should be pretty cool. Proably will be a 10 mile cross country track. Goto unitedoffracing.com for some more info.

I live in Sabula, IA right across the river from Savanna. Last fall, I was told that they charged $20 a day to ride the track at Mt. Carroll.

The race last week was in Morrison, north of Morrison at Bush's farm. I don't know where this week's race was.
Let me know if you want to hook up some time. We have some private land that is pretty cool to ride.

250rAL do you know what the hours of the Mt Carrol track are? Do you have any good trails up there?

Posted by: 250rAL

I can't remember exactly what they told me. I think it's open every weekend and some days during the week. Some weekends they have races so you couldn't ride then. Your best bet would be just to go there on a weekend when there is somebody there.
