Ive painted a couple things ( a arms, engine mounts, sub frame and exhaust guard) with rustoleum black gloss paint and theve can out looking great, a lil touching up here and there but they look awesome anyways, i was wondering if you can paint the oil tank also? the tank looks like its made out of some kind of galvinized metal and i want wondering if its possible to do and still look good?????? thnx for any help u can give....

yes it is possible. However make sure you sand it down first. I used a chrome color on my oil tank.

You dont have to sand it right down, but make sure there is scuff marks so the paint can stick well. It also might be a good idea to use some primer.

Yeah, I know it isnt chrome. But hell for like $3.00CDN. I dont really care. I dont feel like polishing it. It would take to long. I dont want to powder coat it because I am just selling this quad. When this season ends. I will have a chance to powder my quad.
