Seen one at the dunes today tank slappin it's way through the whoops. Saw another one (piped) beat a piped Raptor up the Face of Utahs Sand Mtn by three lenghts. Don't know who the riders were and I cruised to go ride..

Well I rode a Predator today for the second time and raced my friend on his stock Raptor with K&N air filter and jet kit and I beat him on the Predator about a bike length. I out weigh him by 100 lbs. I thinks its more the rider that the bike. I was very impressed with the Predator being 160 CC smaller and wipping the Raptor.

There is only one way to beat a craptor, just go on a tight course or like a dune and it quite possibly could roll:blah

we were just talking about that today, The raptor is a fast machine for sure.... but I do think on a tight trail the predator will take it...

I posted this when I we got it......... the 400ex is mine and his is the Predator, I traded in my 300ex this way we both got to step up in power.
LOL... Do you actually think he would ride one with less power than me?> no way...
Well, that is........................until HOnda comes out with something.......then Its my turn

Ahh, you and I think along the same lines. I am getting a Z400, which my wife loves, and once Honda comes out with their quad I'll get that and she can have the Z and we will both be happy

cool that your wife likes to ride, then no fighting when you want to go ride...
Yah it will be nice for duning this year, not worrying as much on climbing.Troy was the first one to get a 300ex, then went to a 400ex in about 2 months, then the first to get the new quad, so I think Ill be the next one with the new quad, but for now ...Im happy with what I got.TIme to change a few things on it too...

mine hasnt had a problem with it.(and our two other friends has one too,no probs with theres)The only real issue they have right now that Im aware of ,is the master cylinder and they are trying to come up with a solution for it as we speak, its not a HUGe prblem but wears those breaks down too fast(rubbing )Shifting is really smooth too... It a machine that likes to be revved for sure...

Thanks for the reply. Also i think the plastic looks a lot better now that you trimmed it a little more. If i didn't have my 400ex all worked out i would probably get a pred.

The Pred has some low end problems but once mid range hits your gone, thats what Troy says, and the Raptor has a pritty good power band all the way through except its fifth gear is really weak, atleast mine is. Troys Pred is a awsome bike and stock to stock I think it is a very close race, when me and him went out a raced it was really close, he got me on the first one becouse I wheelied off the start and had to back off the bring it down and after I got back on it he stayed only about a half bike length ahead, the second one we raced I kept it on the ground a littel better and the race was really close, I think he beat me though I think by about a front Tire. The pred is very impressive I was very sceptical about it when Troy bought his But it has impressed me ever since
. I Think the Raptor will out run it but only on the Start the rest of it will be pritty even so in a flat race you might beat it by half bike Maybe. It all depends on how good the Riders are. Most important thing is if you are going to race on hard pack against a pred sit on the damn gas tank to Keep the nose down, becouse if you don't the pred will get you, It just goes no tire lift at all, piped and jetted I don't know about I have heard that if you go with a full system on the pred you loose even more on the low end becouse of the oversized pipe already, so the slip on is the way to go. The Raptor can get a 14Hp gain by going with a Yoshi full system. The pred like to stay on the ground and the Raptor will lift you up so sit on the tank on the start and you migh beat it.
, But in my Opinon I would go with the Raptor only becouse It fits me perfectly plus I can go to a 770 Kit and the pred can only go to like a 600kit i think. I only like Hill climbing, jumping, racing, and Wheeling, and I think the Raptor has the most potential for more power. If you like track racing go with the Pred better suspension for the cornering.
