Hey guys,
I just wanted to tell everyone about the Durablue Poly rear skid plate I got for my 400ex.
The finish is very nice on the skid, yes it is just plain black. These things are much thicker than you would think. The bolt holes match right up when you install it... The rear lower shock linkage is no longer protected by the skidplate though.
For those weight conscious people, you will drop about 1 1/2lbs in difference between the stock skid plate and the new durablue one.
I did not take any pictures last night but I'm sure we will be taking some over the weekend (just check our web site later, maybe next week).
I paid 74.95 for the skid and so far I think it's well worth the money... I will let everyone know how the durability of this thing holds up....

what is it made of, plastic

Straight from durablue's site..

Light weight.
Exclusive rigid urethane
compound.
Takes abuse and shows
the impact less than metal
or aluminum skid plates.

Holds up to abuse better than steel or aluminum...

But like I said,,, You wouldn't believe how thick and stock this thing seems.......
