I am putting a steering stem back in a 300ex and there aren't any head bearings...how does it work if there's no head bearings??? it was fine before and now that we are putting it back together, when we tighten down the bolts the steering stem wont move at all...what am i doing wrong here???
We have the rubber bushing in there where it's supposed to be but is that the only thing thats supposed to be in there???

when you say head bearings do you mean the top bracket/clamp?
you need to put grease in between the rubber bushing and the stem
also if you have the stem out make sure the bearings that are in the frame are turning good

yeah the top clamp is what im talkin about
are u sure that the only thing needed is greese? cuz we put a little bit in but it didnt help, maybe we just need more

if you take the clamp off or loosen it up are the bars easy to turn?
