im thinkin about painting the head and fins of my motor and then sanding off the egdes and i cant find any pics when i searched anyone got a pic of some with black fins and sanded edges?

im gonna do my head black then sand the edges when i build my 416 next winter:devil , its gonna look badass with my red or black frame and rear hipers and some aftermarket shocks.... Geeez high hopes

i saw that same exact 400 last weekend at motorama. all the east coast bikes were there. that thing defines the word bling in person

I spoke to an ECAtv guy about that bike. First off, that is not paint, I forget what he called it, secondly he said if you apply the wrong stuff to it, the head will not decipate the heat, the paint will help trap the heat.

wouldnt the paint hold a lot more heat inside the engine? the same way with polishing the engine it closes up the little pores in the aluminum and makes it run hotter?

i did that on ym blaster, the blaster head comes black from the factory so it didnt take me much time to get my motor lookin liek that

imo looks great

i dont think that could be pc, cuz it would seem like pc would hold heat even worse.
