300ex w/out handlebar plastic where do you put your ignition??

This is for anyone with a 300ex that has taken off the stock bars and/or the handlebar plastics. Where did you relocate your ignition to, or did you simply take it off?? Pics are always greatly appreciated.

I put mine in the upper tank plastic on the right side
Drill a hole and use and xacto knife to cut a notch so the key cylinder doesn't spin.

Here's an old pic, but my key is still the same

i have fly handlebars now and i bought a 1987 250x ingintion mount that bolts right up on the bottom handlebar, you still use the same ignition spot and everything, and they look great, i got mine for like 15 bucks

yea i make a key holder. i like it alot. its hard to get pics because my camera sucks but ill try tomorrow. they are $10.. i found out it cost 6 for the material. ill try to get pics tommorrow though

you can buy a 1987 250X ignition holder at your local honda store. thats what i did.

i have no key, it use to be just turn the stock kill switch to ON/RUN and kick it to go. now i gotta PD kill switch. i spose you would need a key for a 300ex though since its electric start..just mount it to the plastic or something

Just get your hands on a dremal and work the hole around smoothly. walll laaa.

i have put my ingition in betwn the 2 bolts that hold the light on at the top of the bars and zip tied it between he 2 bolts
