Well I jumped the farthest ever today....

Well to start off, my friend was driving along today and asked me if I would jump this jump I like to jump every now and then(field approach so he can drive by and see how cool it looks) so I start getting on the throttle,I usually hit it about mid in 4th, so I hit it, I just fly!

later on I figure out I was in 5th, well so we check it out, I flew 40 feet, my farthest b4 that was 35. So whats the farthest you guys have flew? and hom much do you think the stock frame, axle,shocks and a-arms can take for a flat landing?by the way I turn 15 in a few, cant wait, just thought I'd tell ya guys-darren

One track I raced on had a 78 foot triple that if u did it u had to over jump and flat land(the landing s*cked)! And it also had a 75 foot downhill triple that I over jumped once! That hurt a little!

But I did them every lap!

Too bad that track closed down

I liked that track!

I wouldn't do that on a stock quad, sure to break stuff!

I am also 14 and ride a 400ex, I have jumped some big jumps but I never went by and actually measured how many feet. Sounds like you jumped pretty far though...

This track I used to ride at had a 100foot double.Stock 125 and 250 dirtbikes could do it.It is a biggo hill before it.My might have had enough.But I am not going to lie.Have you ever been tapped out on a modded 250r?I couldn't imagine jumping going that fast.I tried it.And landed probably 30 foot short.I also landed so hard that my helmet hit my bars and they wrapped around the tank.I couldn't turn I had a twist throttle at the time.So I got launched into the woods.Yeah that was DNF.And the last time I tried that one.Now they filled it in and made it a biggo table top though.

Im also 14 and turn 15 in a few weeks!! (small world) I have hit every jump that I have in top of 5th gear on my 250ex. I havent measured but the farthest i think is prolly about 25 or 30. I say, You only live once, so what the hell!!:devil :devil

the farthest ive jumped was about 40foot flat landing. this jump has no kick at all and you just sail over it. i bottomed out a few times.

Furthest I have jumped a quad is 15 feet and thats on the 300... I havent jumped the 400ex yet... I will. I have jumped my sled over 40'...

Nah thats not me I went off of one jump well over a sheriff's driveway in 5th as hard as i could hit it.It was a old train track that was taken up.And you could haul down tru there.Hit his drive and sail.It didnt throw you up more than about 6-7 ft but the day i hit it pinned i went about 50-60 ft.

my farthest is like 50-53 feet landing on flat ground, with stock suspension, ya that hurts a bit..that was 4th pinned, the only one whos done it farther is a guy on mojave with racing suspension who got like 55 feet.

Just hit my jump today 4th gear pinned, and I flew about 6-7 feet in the air, but I sailed about 45-50 feet on flat ground, stock suspension, I have hit my head on the handlebars HARD about 4 times.

well since I seem to like to jump a lot, whats the next thing I need to make sure my frame dosnt crack or something happends(bad), shocks, axle, gusset kit or a-arms, i plan on racing next year and getting all thoughs but which one 1st?

Get good suspension FIRST , then gusset the frame.
Don't worry about motor mods, good suspension will make you alot faster than more power!

so you dont think I'll really need a axle or a-arms right now?that'd really help if i didnt need them. haha but if i need them that just meens I'll just get a little less quality shocks

On a 300ex the farthest I have jumped was 40 feet.That was flat landing.Did a 35 foot double on my buddies old 300ex.

Right now I am waiting on some works shocks.Then my cousin to get his bobcat over here.Hope to have atleast a 70 footer.RIght now we only have 1 jump on our track.

90 feet

Our practice track has a 110 foot table that throws ya about 15 feet or maybe more up. Well only the bikes do it. And only a select few of them do it. Well they started on me abotu clearin it. So I figured what the heck try it.

I was hittin it 4th gear pinned and I was going about 90 ft of it. O came ip short everytime. I was on stock shocks, a arms and Frame but LSR axle. I cracked my Frame in 7 spots.... Not sure if they were all due to that jump but i had 7 cracks anyway.

Rough landing but well worth the looks on thier faces when I hit it..

I plan on clearing it this summer. Now that my motor is a lil diff.($1200 bucks Diff)

My longest jump is about 20 feet and you guys prolly think i suck but considering i ride a Recon its not that bad. It was a flat landing and it hurt like crap i had to get and and let the tingling in my wrists go away. I normally would hit it 3rd gear pinned but i got brave well i didnt really get brave i just didnt realize i was in 4th and i had it pinned and hit it it was rough the only thing that sucked was that their wasnt anyone with me to see it. Im hoping to get a 400ex in a couple months when i graduate. Oh yeah by the way i wouldnt recommend doing anyone doin that on a recon cuz it f***ed up the bearings in the rearend and the right front wheel and i had to get them replaced and it come out to about 500 dollars to get it fixed but most of it was what the dealer charged me for labor.

the biggest ive done ( not that great ) was around 15 ft distance on a blaster... only thing i had was a longer axle. The landing was usually ruff...

worste part about it, is if u didnt land just right and u sat down to fast... well lets just say u got tapped... HARD

well i think that i have jumped about 45'...there was a double at a track that i rode at with a 30' double with two 40' table in front of it that you had hit in low 4th, well i hit both tables in mid 4th and then held it there for the double until about 10' in front of the double and freaked out let off then jumped it very low 4th and nose dived into the landing of the double, fliped over the handle bars then got ran over by my own 400ex and just laid there... well now i am kinda scared of doubles now

The other day on my rancher, me and a couple of my buddies were have a competition and whoever jumped the highest and farthest one...well when im in competition i will do dang well anything to win....so started off...i was in 4th gear pinned(this is on a rancher) i hit the jump...i went about 6 foot up in the air and landed about 20-25 foot out...i know this is wussy for you guys but i landed on flat land..and on a rancher

Man, I just want to know how all you other 14 year olds out there afford 400EX's?!

I'm having to save up money from grass cutting and my next birthday money just to get a used 300EX. By the way, the farthest I've jumped my Beartracker is about 2 1/2 feet. LOL. Not meaning to complain though. Keep jumpin!

if your gonna buy shocks without gettin at least anaxle first your nuts their cheaper and the difference is night and day i think a-arms should be after that but i got buddies runnin stock arms with peps and their bikes feel nice but ill out corner them every time

I think the biggest jump I hit was in Florida and it was between 90-100 feet. I got easily 20 feet off the ground. I bent my Durabreak axle on the landing. Here are some pics of some other cool jumps

Well its abot 70 ft! Did it on my r and the "warrior" great jump! But Its sad cause i dont have any jumps! Im going to get mad and go get in my dads back-hoe and start digging!!!!!!!!!! At the coast i got about 10 ft of air, and busted my lip open pretty cool!!!! One of these days I will have a sweet step up like the one Z racer showed!

the highest i had my 250 was about 5 feet. and my jump in the back yard sends me about 25 feet.
