yo guys in one thread about the non honda forum it said that a banshee did 125 mph on the ice, i have guinness book of world records right in front of me, this is the 2003 book, i will type the exact words on the thread

yes i wrote that, my dealer actually gave me this information, as I said in that thread, i don't know which one, he had very little acceleration and needed to be push started. They had a redar gun at the race and clocked a z400 that one of the dealers built at 78mph, and that banshee was geared just for topend at about 125mph I think, it was in the 125mph range.

And if you look at some of the drag bikes in the dunes they reach speeds over 100mph I think, there are some videos of them. And believe me, it probably took him along time to get up to 125mph, If I was there I would have got video, i will try and get some footage if I go to some ice races when it warms up a little bit.

If you have any questions I will be sure to help, I live in canada and asked the dealer if he ment km/h but he said no it was miles.

if you guys ever heard of that one banshee called crankenstein, it did 86mph UP sand mountain, not on the flats or anything up a hill

The 780cc Rotax Banshee's would pull an easy world record, but no one cares about it enough to make an actual world record attempt. 99 miles an hour? That wouldnt be really hard to reach with the right quad...

BTW, all motors with the big rotax cylinders and cranks are called Crankensteins.....lol

I know someone has done faster then that on a quad..... There was a dragster on here in one of them fourms, it had a 929r motor in it and it was hitting the quarter mile less the 10 seconds

According matt coulter's website he has actually gone 145mph on a quad. I don't think it was an official record though, so it wasn't in the world record book.

Well I don't think many people even care about making a world record speed for a quad. But I know 100mph+ has been done

I now a guy that put a 800RMK engine in a scrambler 400 4x4. (with a
TURBO and NOS) The stock 800 puts out 145hp they had it up to
300+hp

i think it was more of a big deal /record cause the guy was blind.

I'm sure there are other 4 wheelers that have gone well over a 100mph.

yea the street bike motors are geared internaly to do well over 100, crotch rockets go well over 160

At Bluetraxx there is a video of a quadracer doing 130 mph. But it has some other engine in it.

hah, i saw the kangaroo kid on "Real TV". He was riding a yellow shee and tried to jump a fairy boat, ended up smashing into it doing like 8 flips then landing in the water.

In a magazine of mine i have read a guy did 130mph on his banshee and it had a banshee engine in it not a bike engine.
