today i was rideing my 300 and i heard a whining sound comeing from the cylinder or somewhere close to that....its not low on oil. someone said it was my cam chain. is that what it? how could i fix it? thanks

My 300 makes the same noise. Some people have told me its the valves, the oil pump and some have told me its the cam chain. Does your 300 also vibrate and hum when reved and kinda make a knocking noise? I would also like to know what it is.

well my 300 used to buzz really bad when it was revved higher up in the gear.i was afraid it was the engine but one day i figured something out....the metal bar on my heel guard was vibrating and making that noise.i took of the plastic mud guards and the metal things and it stopped buzzing.relieved me lol

i cant really hear if mine knocks when i rev it cuz i have a loud exhaust, but the whining gets a lil louder. thanks

my 400 does that too. ive often wondered what the problem is. maybe someone could help us all out on this one
