Umm...from what I saw out at the dunes...I think they are pretty much ALMOST even but the DS should pull a little harder and win.

From what I heard, the Raptor660 takes it in the drag. Its a very close though. But remember, the DS650 has 60 + pounds over the Raptor.

ds in my opinion cause its got i think like 4-5 hp on the raptor and the raptor will break down half way down the track

the raptor andthe ds have the exact same top speed 9according the atv action) so it should be prety close depending on rider and tires i guess

I don't know about the dunes but at our local drag strip it's really close when they are both stock. (300 feet on hardpack). Usually the more experienced driver or the one who gets the better start wins it.

When you compare the modded DS's and Raptors, the DS seems to do better..

I used to have a DS, stock for stock it depends on the rider in the drags.......I would also take the DS in the dunes, way more stable.

Dont forget the DS is losing about 60lbs for 2004 & getting a slightly shorter swing-arm and a better weight bias, also the rev limiter will be raised & I beleive the gearing is going to be changed also

Im not a big atver im a triker but dosent the ds650 have 30% more torque then the craptor? And I heard the ds650 won baja the first year it came out.
