I am thinking about putting a smoothy hood on my 400 and was wondering (since maier list them 86-87 and 88-89) does the year matter or are they all the same, as far as the hoods go?

im not 100% positive but i think the years had different hood hookups... since the 88-89 had the hood/light togather

I think i just ordered mine and said,,i need a black 250R smoothy hood and it showed up and I mounted it.. You'll be ok just order the smoothy and it'll be the one like in the pic below..

hey do you think it would be possible to put one of those on my 250ex??? how long is it from end to end then from end to the groove where the steering stem is??? and how wide is it???

I think it would be too long to mount on a 250ex,,but you could always cut it down and make it work...heck i never thought a rapturd front end would work on a 400ex but ole 400grl sure made it work.. Them hoods cost about $35 so if ya got some cash layin around and some patiance i'm sure you could figure something out...
