in my opinion the stock 250r plastics look like they dont belong there, but i havent seen fullbore 250r plastics on a 400ex yet. i would think it would look alright. the plastics need some fabrication to fit right

plus 250r plastic doesn't have the hole for the petcock so you would have to put a hole in your plastic.

It can be done but you need alot of stuff. You need a 250R gastank, Plastic, and new mounting hardware must be made and I believe there are a few other things needed.

I say leave 400 plastic on 400s and 250R plastic on 250rs.

It just doesn;t looks right on a diff quad.

Thing is i dont have a 400??? i am most likely going to buy arens frame and he said its all based on 400ex.... so i dont need that hole for the gas petcock.... still think i should do it ?? or dose it not look right... Any one have pics of full bore on a 400ex

man you just don't understand quads at all. are you new!? and i don't mean new to the site. You'll still need the hole for the fuel petcook. and you could always get some 400ex fullbore plastic. ANd like three people have already said it looks like crap! and beliave me it does!. it can be made to fit half assed but still looks like garbage.

no im not new at all to quads i am new to 400exs and building a crf ????never thought an ex had enough power before ... but i think a crf will for sure have enough..... and i guess you will see if i know anything when i build this crf:grr :grr

I have never heard of putting 250r plastic on a 400ex but there are people on the R forum who have put 400ex plastic on 250Rs, so I'm sure it can be done. If you are gonna get fullbore, just get 400ex plastic.

i say by the end of april i want to wait till mr. arens finishes his frame and rad and all... order all frame componets from him and the engine, electronics and exhaust from baldwin...order all oem parts, elkas, axle carrier,axle, hubs , tires and rims after i recieve frame and installed engine... my friend has a 400ex and the manual so i will peice it together as i go... i wont have the time or money to follow nationals this year so i will only attend a few(i.e red bud casy,il and few others)... if i like arens frame that much i will take my name of the waiting list for walsh and keep that arens for next season... walshis a 12 month wait...... all in all i want to build this quad to attend all my local d-17 races and casy,il races.. and also all nationals ....
