Im in the process of chroming the whole frreakin quad...currently im on the motor mounts....my nerf were connected to them as most are are and i took the two bottom screws out...but the top one is connected to eachother when i take them out will the engine be able to hold itslef up for awhile of will I have to put something there to hold her up for a while

the bottom mounts and headstay will keep it in place.or to be safe put a wrench between the frame and motor to be on the safe side.

Posted by: muff

yea you dont have to worry about it movin, theres 2 other bolts holdin it in place

im with him how the **** you do this? Here is what i think you take like 300grit sand paper sand it then keep going with fner sand paper untill you get to like 1000 grit then take some mothers and just kinda polish it up with that but im not exatly what you need to do the polishing? any one help me out if i want to do some parts with just a rag work to polish it up?

i start at 220, then 400, 600, then 1000 and 1500 once i get the paper, once the part is smooth use a buffing wheel (see pic below) I use a die grinder the red thing($30-50) hooked up to an air compressor ($300), with the compounds off www.eastwoodcompany.com apply the compound to the buff and then take it to the metal
