Where are the dunes in Michigan or riding in general?

My buddies and myself are looking to take a trip to Michigan this year and I was curious what are the hot spots and what the terrain is. post pics and links if ya got'em

Yes it's silver lake sanddunes that are in MI..but I think there's only 700 acres to ride on....that's not much..

don't get me wrong,,700 acres is alot..but for me to drive 11 hours to only have 700 acres is not worth my time. I can go to hatfield mccoy and ride on thousands and thousands of acres...I can could cover 700 acres in a few hours.. I'd love to make it up there but that's along way to go..

Actually i think its only 400 acres and that is out of the total 12,000 acres. It is actually quite fun. Even though there may not be as much space as other places its still a blast.

i know the place gets crowded on the holidays
my buds were up there on memorial w/e they were dodging traffic til 1 of them had a near head on collision which ended the
weekend w/a bent tie rod ...

I have a bud that goes to the Ocala National Forest in Florida.
Big Scrub - half a million acres, thousands of trails ! No big dunes but lots of sand and smooth rolling trails from what I hear.
I'm going to try to make the trip this year. Only 11 hours from Kentucky.:devil
