Newbie rebuild

Any advice for someone about to do a complete rebuild on a 2002 400ex? I have experience with rebuilding 4 strokes, and I'm mechanically adept. I'm going to get the book for it and copy every page that has the exploded views of the parts and diagrams. Then I'm going to tape them onto boxes, and as I take the parts off the bike, I'll throw it into the box with the correct diagram on it. Sounds like a good way for me to keep track. I'll be taking it down to the bare frame and having the frame painted at an auto body shop. Do you guys have any advice or things I should be aware of during my rebuild? It's my first time working on a quad.

Definatly get it powder coated. Its cheaper and it lasts longer on a quad.

And go ahead and replace all the bearings while you have it apart. And pic up some new factory plasti while your at it. Plastic is cheap.
