Well these are the dates for this years Exriders group rides... I have the campsites reserved for all 3 dates as of right now.. They just started takin reservations 2 weeks ago and someone already beat me to the last weekend in June..
April 24th- 27th
July 9th - 13th <-- I think this will be the biggest ride since school will be out and hopefully we'll be roasting the pig that weekend..this will be the only 5 day ride..the rest are 2 and 3 day rides..so if you think you can only make 1 trip,,I'd say make this the one...
September 25th - 28th

Yeah the last week of june date fell thru because of the sites being reserved..plus that is dirt week..I don't wanna be there with 3000 other quads..we have way to much fun when it's just us and nobody else..

Rico some PRICES would help out
how much for entry how much for camping etc?
Posted by: Live2Ride300
Does anyone have an idea of how long of a drive it would be from NH?
Posted by: wyndzer
3-7 day pass is $35.00
1 day pass is $15.00
1 year pass is $100.00
Camping is probably about $8-10 per night.
Food cost is how ever much you want to eat.
For directions use mapquest.com and Logan, WV as the destination.
Posted by: Doibugu2
Fot those adult beverage drinkers, beer was over $16 per case. Needless to say, we were not happy, since we didn't bring any down.

Do a search on hatfield...look for my name on any of them and you'll find lots of info,,even lots of cool pics..
Here's something i made up for the ride last sept...keeps me from typing alot..the numbers below are pretty dang accurate...
Well since I"ve become the ride coordinator I"ve reserved another full hook-up campsite at Cheif logan campground..so we now have 2 full hookups,,with water and electic and an overflow grass field.
Prices are as follows..
Full hook up--- 19.00 a night,,,reserved for 3 nights $60 total.
60 X 2 = $120 for the 2 sites for the weekend..we had 10 people on one full hookup site last time so your lookin at around $6 per person to camp out the entire weekend on the full hook-up sites. MIght be more might be less,,if ya cry about it ya get booted to the primitive sight.. and must give a beer to all other members on that full hook-up site..
Over flow/primitive camping sites are $5 a tent per day..
7 day pass which you'll need. $35...no 3 day passes available.
So your lookin at about $50 for camping and riding fees per person (not to bad I don't think)...the rest of trip costs your on your own..Who camps were is on a first come first serve basis except for me I get a spot on a full hook-up site..perks of bein the ride coordinator...
Oh yeah,,my ride coordinator fee has not been added to the above total... I'll leave a coffee can outside my tent for donations...Beer & money are considered equal in payment..
So I dont' know about you guys/gals but this is gonna be a very very fun trip,,even without the riding,,just the camping and chewin the fat around the campfire is a good time in my book..
Another thing,,I will be starting yet another thread about 2 weeks out from the trip asking for another head count..when I do..only post digits/numbers so i dont' have to read thru a bunch of crap tryin to count up how many riders we will have.
One more thing,,if ya got room for firewood bring it,,even if it's only a log or 2 every little bit helps...Ok that's all from me,,,lookin forward ta meeting you knuckleheads that's for sure.. One full hook up site will be reserved for all the guys that made the first trip..
Here's a pic of us at Micky D's gettin some grub..the other half of the group were gettin gas and eatin subway
Posted by: 02Yellow400
Definatly sounds like its gonna be a good time. I'll bring some wood. Definatly put me down for a full hook up camp site. Only thing is me and my buddies are going down wed. night and staying down untill sunday. So we will be the first ones there. So let me know if you need me to do anything before everyone else gets there. My email addy is SIXSPDCELICAGTS@aol.com
We are going down for 4 full days i cant wait
Posted by: jcv400ex
I'm in for all 3. I'm trying out for the Jack@ss crew!

Besides, you'all need alittle "norther influence"
Posted by: killed300ex

My buddy said that a relative of yours was in Dirt Wheels. They had pictures of dirt week, and the crazy hillbilly was there? Were you as well?

It looks like there is gonna be a bunch of us going, and will there be enough room for everyone?
Wouldnt have to be forced into sleeping comfortable in a hotel or something LOL

As long as I get a decent head count about a month out we should be fine..we had 50+ riders last time and still had room..and this years trips i've reserved another campsite which can hold up to 10 more people..Plus I've gotten in good with the lady at the front desk..she said they'll make room for however many people show up..
Posted by: wyndzer
Doi, I wasn't at dirt week but that dern billhilly may have been? Who knows about that character.

Ill talk to Castor about this date. Seems that I will have the best chance at possibly going to this one...work permitting. Just hope I can get him to go, b/c I dont wanna drive out there myself.

How long of a drive is it from Lou??
Posted by: Striker49
According to Mapquest:
Paducah, KY
US
TO
Logan, WV
US
Total Distance: 445.85 miles
Total Estimated Time: 7 hours, 59 minutes
Not really bad all things considering. And you guys, just may...by some slight chance, see me on a Predator by then. But thats only if things go great. As of now the 250ex is sitting in the garage dead. The battery is toast.

2 pee breaks....keep the hammer down at 65 - 70...and no stoppin ta pic up hookers...it can be made in 5 hours easily...
It look as though my dad might not be able to make any of the trips this year
so I'll be draggen rowlrag along or headin out that way by myself..I'm sure I'll stop and pick up taco or meet up with him atleast on the way.. So remlapr..we might be headin out that way together dude... It's really an easy trip with highway 99% of the way there...

yeah thats only cuz Rico drives a ronchy ranger and drives 2 hours outta his to get back to the campground. this year you and taco meet me where i work and ill show you the short cut "flatlander". ill be driving a 77 ford pickup with "RICO SUCKS" painted on the sides.:blah
Posted by: Taco
im from this area and i cant think of any possible shortcut to get there other than heading straight up Rt.10. Pretty much if you got a trailer your best bet is to hit I64 and take 119 south in Charleston.
Let me know of this shortcut brokeitin3?
Posted by: Doibugu2
Yea broken, there is a few of us coming that direction. If there is a shortcut, let us know.:grr
Posted by: brokeitin3
when you cross the wv state line on I-64 take the first exit, the ceredo-kenova/airport exit. at the bottom of the ramp make a right towards us52. stay on rt52 till you come to 119 north, make a left onto 119 north till you see the logan exit. it takes 2 hours in a mechanics service truck from ashland ky to drive this route.
Posted by: Doibugu2
How long does it take from the WV border, the way you say to go?
Posted by:
He's ate up with the dumbarse..he doesn't know.. He's one of them bassackward KY boys that has yet to see an interstate...2 lane roads to him are highways...
From I-64 there is no faster way....now takin 10 down might be shorter mileage wise but not speed...
Posted by: brokeitin3
meet up with some of you guys along the way somewhere.
Posted by: Doibugu2
One of the many times we stopped to have a drink (water) were sitting on our quads and from one of the hills comes two kids about 13 or so with a pic axe. They start talking to us for a minute or two, and we only understood about 3 words. Talk about some backwardarse inbreeding WV folks. It was pretty funny.

I tried to take a "WV shortcut" going to Snowshoe one time. It was about 40 miles shorter on a map, but it took my a full 2 hours extra drive time.
"WV shortcut" = two lane half paved road up the side of a mountain.:blah

Yeah me and dad did that once too...after talkin with a local WV jackass by the name of taco...he talked us into goin 40 miles out of the way
but it did cut 2.5 hours of driving off goin his route...:devil
I-64 to 119 south..then your there..that's how easy it is to get there from Louisville...

Sorry to say fellas i wont be at the April ride. Due to all my jackass friends i had to make the dates the 8th - 12th of april. But i Will be there in July
If anyone wants to come down that weekend with us send me a PM or let me know
Posted by: Striker49
I wanna be there for that Summer ride. I may try and go even if Castor doesn't want to, he hasn't said much on it lately.
Ive got a chit load of work lined up to roll in the mula...and hopefully I can work towards a new quad really quickly. I really dont want to play catch up for 5 days out there with you big bore guys. There just isnt any way I would last.
If I can get ahold of a Predator by then though...
Posted by: red
hey striker, I ride a blaster with them....not exactly with them but it is still fun.
You can ride with me and we will both play catchup.

Posted by: Pappy
red and striker...yall can hang with my slow arse
Posted by: Striker49
Kenny, you crazy.
And odds are that a blaster would kick my @ss any day....and then hand it back to me.
After about 30 minutes of hard riding the ol 250 just loses power. 5th gear just kinda feels like it drops through the bottom of the motor.
And at the moment, the thing doesnt start.

Goin fast in some of the locations at Rockhouse is a blast..4th gear pinned was all I really wanted ta give it I kicked in 5th once or twice but that's it....I just have that feeling of rippen around a turn to find 3-6 Utility quads comin at me and BAM...ER room here I come...
Last year I did clip a guys tire on a trail and I though one of us was goin over da cliff......
Hey Wynder we'll do like last year and take a early morning Warp speed,,one of those cover 20 miles in 45 minute deals..then come back,,eat,,take a break and go back out for the leisure ride...
That's if you can stay on your quad this time....
TACO you got them jackass trophies made up...I'd say we need 1 per trip..so 3 total...I know we could hand out 10 per ride but that'll get expensive...:blah

Well, I dont think that loan is gonna work. My mom pretty much said STFU about it.
There is no way I can afford a new bike w/o one either and I dont think im gonna have $5500 til the end of this year, if that.
Im re-thinkin the whole trip at the moment, Im really considerin not goin for a 5 day trip just to get left behind. I had enough of that **** last year at LBL.
If anything changes ill let you guys know, but at the moment, thigns dont look to promising and the 250 is still dead out in the garage.

Ill think about it, but dont expect me to be there at the moment.
I just did some figuring. It'll take me approx. 20 months to purchase a new Pred.
By then Ill be in college and wont be able to afford it anyways. So the next 8 years its either ride the little 250 that is too small for comfort or go quadless. *sigh* O well.
I dunno guys. Ill think on it. But if I do go, I expect to come home with a blown engine in the thing b/c I am sure as hell gonna give the pos everything its got to TRY and hang with you all. It tops 52 mph.

Bring your own tent
Bring you own food (there are McDonalds and stuff near by)
There are plenty of places to fill up, you will just have to trailer your quad to the trails.
There are very few women that come, just to warn you.
Its very cheap, all you have to pay for is food, camping, gas, and trail pass ($35 for the week).
I think it should take you less than 6 hrs for sure, but thats just a guess.
Here is a website with more info: www.trailsheaven.com

After alot of contiplating back and forth, we have decided to hit the June ride instead. I am going to hit that national at Budds Creek. We'll be there this time though, there isnt a single race in June, so we dont have any excuses

Castor still doesnt know if he wants to go, but if he does Im up for it as well...but I dont want to make the trip out there myself.
I will drag the 250 out there too...just dont leave my *** or ill go home.
Jeff, Marty...you guys still havent said anything about me borrowing a bike from the Quadshop yet. I even put one of those stickers on my truck for publicity...that has to be worth somthing.

Lenny (440EX4me) and I are thinking of heading over for this group ride. I know yu'all will be in favor of Lenny going, hopefully you will not mind myself tagging along.
Anyway, I guess we need to know if there is still room to camp out, or do we need to make reservations at the Super 8?
Hopefully we will see you guys soon!

That would be the "Rockhouse" trail. I have plans to ride it. I am sure I will have flash backs, but no more flying for me!
I am really looking forward to riding the best trails in the country, and meeting alot of you guys soon!
Thanks Pappy.
Thanks Rico.
BTW... I am ok!!!! It happend June 2nd.

Well its good that your okay.
I was actually getting a few jitters since I hadn't ridden in so long. I finally got to ride this weekend and with everyone getting hurt the past few rides so I was worried I was going to do the same. Sucks riding is so fun but also so easy to get hurt. Oh well I still love it.

Well, ive made up my mind guys. Im not goin.
I am not goin out there, even if Castor goes, just to ride the 250 crap again. Maybe next year, if I manage to get rid of the junk in the garage and get a real quad.
In a bit of a bad mood and takin it out on the quad...just ignore it, but dont look for me to be there this year.
And if you guys manage to put on another LBL ride later this year I wont be there either if I do not have another quad by that date.
Sorry fellas, maybe some day.
Posted by: red
Striker, u should just be glad that u have a quad and ride it.
I know lots of people that would love to have anything to ride but dont. Either way your loss if u dont go, u will miss one hell of a time. Had as much fun in Sept. camping as I did riding.

I know, I just wont let myself realize it. I just cant stand the thing...I want to be one who can out run others for once. Ive never in my whole life been able to get ahead of the pack and the slowest quad in modern day production with a full 13 ponies of raw horsepower is not gonna help me get there.
Thats why I am goin to sell it as soon as I have enough to compensate to purchase a new quad. Then someone who can get good use out of it can ride it b/c its going to set in the garage until I am able to get rid of it here.
Sorry fellas, im not in a very good mood tonight and I apologize.
Maybe ill make the party next year.
Posted by: 440EX4me
Striker wtf you thinking dude, you want to lead the pack or something? Man just "ride like a dime store pony" and have fun
PLus how you gonna pass up Kenny's gourmet cooking, and just look at them dar swimps

Quit whining, and like Red said: be happy you have a quad to ride.
Somebody call the freakin' whambulance!
Posted by: breadman400ex
Striker... Red is right... just think how we feel... my wife had to sell her quad to pay a 700.00 gas bill before they shut it off. now she doesn't have one to ride at all and now I don't know if we will be going or not. cuz I'm not going to go ride and leave her sitting there at the tent.
... I guess the only way we are going now is if we can get her another quad before the time comes...

Well, if its anything like LBL last year then to heck with it. Rico was impossible to stay with, and so was everyone else. :grr
Im just tired of getting my *** left behind, and thats all there is to it.
Posted by: red
hell dude i stay in the back with my blaster but i dont care i just enjoy the ride and really enjoy the camping and shootin the $hit. U will have just as much fun at the camp as u will riding or at least i do. And u surely dont want to miss pappys cooking it was wonderful last sept. and he says he has new recipes to try on us this time so come and have fun man.
Posted by: Doibugu2
Striker, I have a 400 and I couldn't stay with them guys either. It is when hell of a time and there is enough places to ride to have fun. I'm sure there are enough people there that you could hook up with them and not have any proble keeping up. Hell bring a friend with. Its a blast.
Posted by: Taco
Striker I'm sure that if you come you can hang with my bud on the Blaster and a few other peeps usually hang back a lil. This isnt a race, we are all out there for one thing and one thing only, TOO HAVE FUN!!!!
And the riding is only half the fun:devil

Yeah Taco here will be in the back so you'll have someone to hang with and also we all split up in different groups...so your always with someone no matter what... I prefer the hammer down group before lunch...then it's a casual day of riding after that...Bringin up the rear is one of the best places because you never miss a wreck....:devil

*sigh* I dunno. If castor gets well and decides to go I may come out there, but otherwise Im stayin home. I do not want to make the trip by myself. Just have to see what happens.
Just ignore my venting, im an idiot anyways and am in a "bash something with a sledgehammer" mood right now.
