Does anyone know where to get a new battery for the 400ex? I know service honda has it but I was wanting a little more cranking amps?

i can get ya the higher cca unit....they run $68 shipped

yeah they have a acid pack in them.....same ones ya can get from the dealer...but these are a lil tougher to find. the dealers normally wont stock them...then wanna charge ya an arm and leg for them

ALL THE BATTERY'S THAT ARE OF THE YT OT YTX LINE ARE AGM(ABSORBED GLASS MAT) DESIGN. THE ACID IS ABSORBED BY THE FIBERGLASS MATT AND IS THENM CLASSIFIED AS A GELL BATTERY.

Have you seen the dry cell used on some jet skis and Harleys?? I have one that I use as a jumper battery - Its awesome but to tall for the 400ex.

I just bought one a few weeks ago. It is the same size as the stock battery, but it has an extra 65 cca. It is a YUASA (so is the stock one) The part number is YT12a-BS. I paid $75 at my dealer.

i have informed corperate that the new # is an upgrade so hopefully more places will start stocking them across the country
