Are you sure it was dirt? But no, I don't think it should really look like that.

no, its shouldnt be very very dirty, but hey, ya know its doing its job.
change it and flush the bottom end with new oil.

yes its normal...mine was the same way when i first got my quad for the first few oil changes its gonna be dirtier then normal, if it continues to very dirty i would change the oil sooner, but you should be fine...change it every 17 - 20 hrs

there should be some dirt on it, not filthy, beter to have dirt in the filter then in the motor

Are you sure it was dirt and not small metal shavings? With a new engine there's usualy some metal shavings left in it from assembly from the factory, that and gear wear clutch fibers etc... from break in.

most likely clutch material / etc from break in...

if it's actually "dirt" I would be very concerend.. There shouldn't be any pieces of dirt big enough to see in the motor !

it didnt really look like a lot of dirt but whatever it was there wasnt big chunks or anything like that

This is totally normal.....the dirtier your filter the better actually!!..you know that youre engine is very efficient most all fuel is being burnt and the dirt and grime is being circulated thru your system into the filter!! thats what its there for!!
