What is up?

What could possibly be wrong. My 300ex is hitting what sounds like the rev limiter half way through the max rpm's in 2nd and 3rd. I've always run 18in tires and run 14/36 and it has never done this before. I know for sure the engine is not revving high enough to be the rev limiter. The new tires i'm running are 18-11-10 fast trekkers. U think them being smaller then most 18's could be the problem.

well you know how it hits the rev limiter in reverse? if it sound like that, you may have some wires crossed. check the wiring harness to see if there are any melted or sratched wires that may be grounding out. otherwise the tires would have nothing to do with it hitting the rev limiter. all a smaller tire will do is slow you down and give you more power, rather than speed. a bigger tire has to travel more in order to complete one full revolution, a smaller tire will spin much faster at lower speeds.

i'll check em out. anybody wanna buy some 18-11-10 rear fast trekkers with 3 rides on them??

I did get the gas out of my lil sisters quad, and when i cleaned her carb it had water in the bowl. i'm gonna drain the gas and clean the carb. man big brain fart. I hate when i let things slip my mind like that.
