OK i have an 08 YFZ and it starts up fine and runs, except breaks up bad on top end. It has been jetted and jetted and it does not make any differance with it breaking up, so it leads me to beleive its electrical. I know the stator and cdi are good, spark plug is good. I had this same problem with a YFZ befor but i sold it befor i ever found out what was wrong. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.
Thanks

Pull the left side cover off (stator cover)
Check to see if flywheel is properly seated on the crank, or if the woodruff key is sheared.
Check stator & pulsor coil to see if it is loose.

Also check valve clearance
Intake = .005"-.006"
Exhaust = .008"-.009"

Also check the lead coming out of the stator to the plug in under the hood, and see if the sheathing has filled up with water.
