Are the kickstart levers different between the years? I've got an 04/05 lever on my 07, but it hits the plastic. It's like it won't go back far enough to line up in the plastic like it should.

yeah man their different. I got an 05 lever on my 07 too. When i done the conversion there was about 60 bucks difference in the price for the 06+kicker. I saved the 60 bucks and ran with the 05 kicker haha.

My 05 lever hits the plastic on my 05 frame and 05 plastic... I just figured I didin't get the kicker gear in the right spline the last time I put the motor together. I have monkeyed with it a little and it either it too far back or too far foward to line up like it should.

I tried turning it back a tooth, but it goes back too far then, and won't even come close to going in the hole.

Yeah, that method definitely doesn't work. Aren't the 06 rear fenders different than the 04/05 on the kicker side?

I'm not sure. But I do have 07 kicker plastic.

The difference I see is in the bends and everything. The newer apears to be thicker and more "streamline" kind of a more flowing design.

Yeah, the older style is more square. Which is the part hitting the plastic.

yea heres the first gen style.
