the frame i bought (250x)

Posted by: stuntin andy

day 2

Posted by: stuntin andy

day 2 being goofy

"its still rideable look"

Posted by: cased

lol dude that first one the turn is bad *** and your muscle is like epic

Posted by: stuntin andy

lol thanks dude i migh get some quad whips back up on myspace >.<....

Posted by: stuntin andy

no feed bacl yall?? to day i plan on starting painting the a arms and the swing arm

Posted by: SET THE STAGE

looks fun. just so you know, since it's a 250x frame, it won't have the tabs to hang the battery where the 300ex has them.

Posted by: stuntin andy

ya man i think i have it figured out ... i think im going to make my grb bar a battery box ....sounds like a good idea.... if that dont work i might try and find a way 2 get it under the seat some how.... i painted my a arms black today

Posted by: SET THE STAGE

i've heard of a lot of people moving them to the section between the a-arms. cleans up the rear end and distributes a little more weight to the front

Posted by: stuntin andy

hmm.. but then ide have to weld on my pc framr woudent i?.... i might have a look tho

Posted by: shiley55

ive seen 1 where it was under the seat and it looked nice and clean thats where i am putting mine

could you possibly find a picture of this? i don't really see where it would fit unless it was behind the filter up against the back of the airbox or on the inside of the frame next to the intake tube maybe. which really, that could be a cool spot. beside the intake tube that is.

Posted by: stuntin andy

mine will be simi hiden... if you look at your grab bar and see how much of it is under the seat... thats where my battery wil be

Posted by: stuntin andy

Ok yall so I have some free time in my engineering class so I figured I would let yall know how my build is going. So far I have the bent frame bike all tore down and all that’s left is the motor and wiring. I’ve put 2 coats of gloss black paint on my A-arms and I plan on getting to my swing arm soon. Ill get some pictures up maybe later on today.

Posted by: cased

so we can go do jumps at the gravel pit before all the houses are built

Posted by: stuntin andy

hopefully lol

Posted by: stuntin andy

all most done i ran into a problem tho... i need a arms lol.... ill take some picts of how it sits tonight

nice. no a-arms as in they just aren't on yet or you don't have them at all? there was a guy selling some laeger design rip-offs for 100 bucks because they were rewelded and he had to retap the balljoint part on that same arm. still wouldn't be bad if you're just trail riding and not hitting 100 foot doubles haha

edit: here they are http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthr...threadid=400690
only thing is, with these you might have to get 400ex shocks and the relocator bracket. stock 300 shocks would make it sit reeaaallll low

Posted by: stuntin andy

ya i was lookin at them but i thought he said something about the threads being stripped??

im about to upload them new pictures

Posted by: stuntin andy

this is going to take ages lol i have to send all these picts from my phone to my email lol

yeah, they were but i think he said he retapped them. i had to do the same thing to laeger's. once i finally got one of the bottom balljoints out, it crossthreaded and i had to tap it. but it's fine

Posted by: stuntin andy

i gota make some more mony lol =p u think they will hold up good tho? like i do trail and a little track so im kind of hesitant on the while weld thing

Posted by: stuntin andy

denny "cased" makeing room

Posted by: stuntin andy

me settin the motor in

Posted by: SET THE STAGE

frame looks awesome. about the whole weld thing, it is a risky thing. but it is on the upper arm so there isn't nearly as much stress on it as there is the bottom

it's up to you. if you plan on hitting decent sized jumps i'd steer away..

Posted by: stuntin andy

me and denny "cased" all done puttin the motor in at about 4 in the morning!!!!

Posted by: stuntin andy

the morning after the night we set the motor

Posted by: stuntin andy

later that day

Posted by: stuntin andy

how it sits now

Posted by: stuntin andy

now all im waiting on is the bearings and seals for the stearing stem and im trying to buy some a arms....

Posted by: stuntin andy

ya set the stage i dont think im going to get them lol.... i think im just going to buy some normal 300ex ones for now then in the summer when i have come cash ill do the 400ex thing

Posted by: stuntin andy
