ok i was trying to check the flluid and the screw broke off and the other one is stripped. is there an easy way to fix this or should i try to find another one?

get a 400ex or 450r front master, I don't waste my time with used master cylinders. In the past with striped heads, I was able to reverse drill them out. As for the broke screw, I don't know.

WHATIS INVOLVED WIT SWITCHING TO THE 400EX OR 450 ONE.

nothing at all, bolts in place, banjo goes on the same also. newer 450r ones and 400ex have a switch to activate a brake light.

so i can just bolt one on and go off a 450?

Posted by: kookennay

i wont have to change the line or anything?

nope, nearly same exact unit. Almost all early 80's- current and starting from 70's dirtbikes all connect exactly the same. They may have different banjo bolt threads, but everything else stayed the same.
