Ditching the battery?

We broke our battery box and was wondering if anyone has ditched it for just kick start only? If so what needs to be cut, spliced or removed etc. Also looking for a pair of rear hubs we have on that is cracked. Pics on the battery and wiring would be a plus. Thanks

Shouldnt have to do anything, just disconnect the battery and go. There is one wire should be attached to the positive battery wire already that should be isolated(end taped or wire removed) because its attached to stator and will have a small bit of current pulsing as bike is running to maintain the batteries charge. But it really isn't any different than having a dead battery and using the kicker in that respect.
