i have an 04 ltz400 that needs a frame. i was woundering if anyone knows FOR SURE what other years i can use. thank you

If I remember correctly you can use any frame up to 2008, the '09 newer mounting points are a little different. Also, the older '03 and I believe '04 subframes have a fixed grab bar compared to '05-'08.

i'm pretty sure that jp660605 is right about the frame but it's only the 03 that has the fixed Grab Bar not the 04

They are right about the frames but be real careful with 03 and 04 frames they are known to crack all over I have a guesset kit and still have cracks! Look at the front shock mount area.

Yeah i would def not get an 03 frame cuz mine is pretty much falling apart, i bought an 06 subframe to replace my subframe, on my normal frame i've had it gusseted by the shocks after mine cracked. My friend broke his 04 frame right beside the radiator where the frame makes an X so we had to have a shop weld that up and gusset his too.
