Im going to rant alittle. So i won a 88 r on ebay today. Its local so i figures heck yea. Ill pick it up after i win. Well i email the seller. They are refusing to sell it to me. They said it is worth way more then i won it for. Anyways so now im back on the market for a motor for my r. Or a complete r. Heres the item number if anyone cares to spread the word on a bad seller 130339258899

Go through Ebay and leave terrible feedback. Ebay will discontinue their membership... People are stupid, but that doesn't mean you should have to suffer.

Legally that is your quad, Ebay is binding....

I went threw ebay and complained. The only thing they said was to leave bad feedback. Retarded!! I know where he lives i thought about going over throwing the money in his face and load the quad up. Then when the cops show up have my laptop with me and be like i paid him what i owe lol. Oh well. I have a few other motor options. Oh well. I have been eye balling that sparks motor just don't know how i would like it coming off a 330.

That engine is worth more than your bid! That would have been a hellava deal! I feel your pain. I'd pay him a visit and talk politely and maybe yall can make a deal.

I talked to him on the phone. well it was his girlfriend. She said they would take 1900 but not a cent less.

If the seller didn't want to let it go for less than $1800 why didn't he put a reserve on the auction or start the bidding at $1800??

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but you're not out too much. The guy screwed up his ebay listing not putting a reserve on it for whatever reason. But you're not really suffering any real damages. You're basically cool. Just get something else.

ebay is not binding, as a seller its even worse. sold a truck on there for 9500. guy came to pick it up and said he will give me 6000. i said no you bid 9500, its 9500 done deal. he refused and left. contacted ebay and gave him a "strike" after 3 striked that account is no longer usable. not that it makes a difference because all you need is a new email and credit card number.

best part of it all was that i received negative feedback due to him being disgruntal over the "strike" as a seller i cannot leave him negative feedback in return. BS!

oo and a week later i won a set of DIE HARD Blurays...the whole set for 30 bucks. seller refused to send them. he kept saying "i mailed ups" but could not get a tracking number for me. after 4 weeks i see 30 bucks in my paypal from him with no response.

ebay sucks....craigslist for the win

i won a front, black laker front fender (new $90). the guy never sent it. filed a claim and got my money back in like 45 days. apparently the douchebag has done this before. ihope he is banned!

what was the price you "won" it for. just looking at it on craigslist i would say no more than 1800. basically looks like a beat up ohio woods bike.

ebay sucks. I'm thoroughly over ebay and paypal. If there weren't so many R parts on there, I'd never open either site. You can used crazedlist.org with firefox to search all of craigslist too. It's not something craigslist wants because they don't want their servers getting hammered, but it's an option that is an alternative to the overpriced and irresponsible ebay and paypal.

yeah, but craigslist is inundated with fraudulant auto sales that you gotta be scared to death buying wheels off that site. they have warnings all over CL about the purchase of autos and such.

not sure how anyone gets ripped off. You go look at the vehicle, its just like ads in the newspaper.

shipping a car or buying without inspecting it is foolish in most situations
