I need some jetting help, a starting point.
What I have.
.20 over stock ported cylinder
Paul Turner Eliminator pipe and fatboy silencer
Stock reed cge with boyseen daul stage reeds
k and n filter
keihin 36mm PWK Air stryker carb
Sunoco ultra 93 with Amsoil Dominator oil 40:1
no air box lid
elevation 1280' above sea level
40 to 50 degrees F
I was gonna run a PJ 36mm but found a deal on the PWK.
For the PJ 36mm I was told by a very reliable engine builder to start with the following
pilot 58
needle 48 DGJ 3rd clip
main 168
Does this sound like a god starting point for the PWK also?
Thanks

In my 264cc stroker i have:
38 PWK
Pilot = 60
Needle = DGH (3rd clip)
Main = 175
Air screw = 2 turns out
BR8ES plug = chocolate brown
but I'm running 32:1.......40:1 will effectively run richer so you might be spot on
It's always better to be on the rich side.....
But then ya have to play the JETTTING game .
with a little Patience...and some caution....you won't have any problems.

your going to want to have around a 45-50 pilot and a 165 ish main as a starting point i would say.

I fully agree with the above post . My motor is almost exact to yours and I do run the the pj 36 45 pilot- 48 is too rich for mine dgj on 3rd but may try adjusting , but it works very well like this. and a 165 that might just be a step rich, but there are no problems and rich is safer.
I tried 1 step richer as a start for my pwk 38-39 AS. and it was close but the needles are where that one fine tunes after the pilot and main are good. IMO but am still working on tuning that beast.
Also Bill of bills pipes gave me that jetting (for the PJ) when I called a few years ago after putting on one of his pipes, and he spec,' the DGJ. but now I use the turner Race 89 pipe
my elv is 500-1000 and my temps are a little warmer

Ordered the jets from Baldwin, and this is what he recamended
165/168 main using the 168
55/58 pilot using the 55
DGJ needle 3rd clip.
Plug looks good on a plug chop. Just a little oil res ado on it. But its a little boggy at low speed when I mash it. I gonna move the needle up a notch and play with the air screw,
Thanks for the help.
