i got my axle out, and i wanted to know if i needed to take my carrier hub out, not sure technical term. im just wondering whats the best way to get the bearings out.

get a medal pole and big hammer and beat them out that away that's the way i get mine out and it does it perfect

thanks to my friend who work off shore, i was able to get some tools to get them out. we used a type of pry bar screw drive, and a brass hammer. beat one side out, and the torched the outside to heat it up a lil bit. the other bearing by the chain tightener was real hard. had to break the bearing apart because it was so locked in place.
i got it all back together now. thanks for the help tho. my friend works on valves, and he said he changes bearing all the time.
