I have a Apex 2008 LT90 Iam running a 780 16.5 30 with stock clutch and Herick front mod variator. I have been told to run a 787 17.1 30 belt. What additional mods do I need to do if any to make this setup complete?

Are you sure that is correct?? It should be 787 16 30 just put it on. It will make a big difference over the 780 16.5. JMO

YES that the apex sent me said it was the oversize belt they run

We have no problems running the 780- 16.5- 30 with a stock clutching set-up. Tyler could run up front with this set-up at any of our local races with the exception of a few quads that are really modded......my 2 cents for what its worth

apex sold me that same belt 2 years ago with 2 shims ,and told me that it was the set up . it did not make a difference.

call Hetricks if you have their variator ,i know that they mod variators for a certain belt sizes, if not you may have problems with belt travel or slippage. jmho
