was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the bearing carrier, mine is stripped out. im thinking about switching to a honda arm, what do you guys think.

I'm confused , which model's arm are you talking ?
the 450r is much narrower

im guessing the OP means a "honda style" swing arm, which uses the off center carrier and pinch bolts. i have to agree though, i hate adjusting the chain on my dad's Z. my 400ex is much easier.

I stripped the bolts that run though the swingarm and carrier just got new ones and was fine ,use locktight on them and clean the surfaces of oil that can get in there from chain .the block carrier slide adjuster on mine got oil from chain between the carrier and swingarm making it slide easy and chain got loose.

yeah my carrier is what got stripped, i dont want to spend the money on a new one if its gonna do it again, i think im gonna do a honda style carrier and extend the arm about 2 inch's
