On the site I seen a 300 for sale and it said that it was lowered. But in the mods it didnt say anything about a lowering kit. So can i fiddle with the something that makes it lower? plz tell me how to lower my quad.

try letting off the preload on the suspension. If you need to go really low you can always get shorter tires.

how do i let off some of the pre load?

The adjusters on the bottom of your shocks, you'll need a spanner (sp?) wrench or a big set of channel lock pliers. You want to adjust them so that the bootom of the spring sets the lowest.

Hope that helped

well that does help but i dont have those tools, so i used a flat head screw driver and a hammer. i took it for a ride and did notice it was a bit lower and i could handle better in the snow. but when im jumping is it gonna bottom out easier?

My understanding from what I've read is that the preload adjusts the ride height not spring tension. So the shocks won't bottom, but you may hit something when the frame gets lower to then ground. Hope it helps.

I noticed I did bottom out the footpegs whenever I done that to mine, but I bumped it back up. That was hard on the feet! Not sure if it was because of the quad being lower (Probably was, but couldn't really tell it) or if the springs were softer.

well we got like 3 inches of snow, and when i took it for a ride, i could really notice the difference. it handled a lot niccer, but i didnt ever jump it.

I couldn't really tell any diff in handling, but I didn't have it that long be4 I changed it. I just bumped it up a notch or so to keep from bottoming out. I might lower the front back down since I have a diff rear shock.
