so i put in my new hot cams today ... now it wont start

i shimd it , it has spark , fuel and compression

tripl checked the timing chain

got any ideas

Im thinking it has to be your timing if shimmed properly. You did set the timing at TDC before tearing into it correct?

Posted by: fordguy95

yep i sure did

i even put the old cams back in to see if there was somting else

and it ran fine so i have no clue what it could be

Ok, then if you put the old cams back in and it ran fine, then that means its not shimmed properly. Your not gonna use the stock spec. shim height with Hotcams.

I did re shim it., 280's on the ex and 260's on the In. I have a feeling it might be 180 degrees out.

Posted by: fordguy95

nope not 180 deg out

I'm not positive, but according to your sig. Its stage 2 cams???? I just took mine out and I had 300-305 on the ex. and 285 on the intake, but that was with stage one cams. Man, you got me stumped. Sure they are for a z400???
