i have a ims oversized gas tank and a lonestar +1 stem and the stem is hitting the tank and wearinfg away at it. i looked at getting a +2 stem but it doesnt look like it would help any as its the steering stop that seems to be the problem. i could take the steering stop off and weld some dots on there to resrict it from hittting but i was wondering if there was a simpler solution.

has anyone else had this prooblem? and if so did you do anything to stop the rubbing? i dont want to wear a hole thru the tank. maybe theres a steering stop out there that takes care of this??

your help is appreciated

Thanks

I have an 08 YFZ that I was having clearence issuses with my IMS tank, and I just put 3/4 inch bar riser on and have almost 1/2 inch of clearence now. Thats with the stock length stem.
