just picked up an 07 apex 90 , i noticed where the rear shock mounts to the frame there is two different shock mount locations. which is the better one two use , the one closer to the front seems to make the rear sit real low , and the on closer to the back seems to sit the quad better , but the shock is almost straight up and down and seems to make the bike less stable

Ours only has one location, was yours modified?

Posted by: rmuscle

no if yours is 08 or newer thats why , i think its only on older frames

Can you post a pic? I was told mine is an 07 by some and an 08 by others. It is not long travel though.

Both of our 07 MXR 90's only have the one mount that is farther forward. The Pro Sharks had the farther back mount that put the shock more straight up and down. Without seeing it I would guess it is a Pro Shark that someone added the second mount to.

Some of the older 07's came with the 2 locations.

hey bob whats the differance betwen the two

we run ours in the front hole the older frames 06 and early 07 had two locations

Run in the forward spot. The frame is a older version and if run in the rear spot this dosent allow the suspension to work correctly.
