I seen on here a while back and ive tried looking for it with no luck, a post on an old school kawasaki hybrid i remember it was a lobo chassis or something like that...if ne one has some info on this i would like to learn more about it

i'll have to scan the dirtwheels for u...it was a 99 kx250 engine in a lobo frame...it was for ballance...it's the one he rides in one of the early hevous vids..

Yup thats it!

If i remember right thats the one they had to fill the handlebars and Anything else they could with rubber to try to take the vibration out of the thing.

I read something about how it eventually ended up with a 250r motor and Kawasaki was upset. He dropped the whole thing, it was too hard to ride.

huevos 2 is the video, ballance hits a huge downhill triple on the thing after coming out of the woods.
didnt yokley end up on that bike for a while?

the one yokley was on was built by four stoke tech, i got to see it in person. my motor was being built by him at that time

Let me clue you in on the history of this quad. This was a machine built by Roll Design for Team Green and Bill in '98 and ran a Pro-Circuit engine that year. William Yokley got the Team Green ride the next three years with myself buliding the engines. We used KX 250 engines. (Four Stroke Tech never handle this bike but did some other Team Green four stroke quads). There were only three of these ever built. I know William has one and I believe Doug Roll at Roll Design has one and the other was at Kawasaki's home office. A side note, we prepped one for Jimmy White to ride the Legends race at Ashtabula back in 2000, which I built that engine as well. William can be contacted for further info if needed and I have quite a few pics. Oh yes, it did vibrate but we changed the power around to make it more manageable. But Yokley just mastered it. You used to if not still saw it every time you log onto ATVA.com.

I'm at home now and the pics are at my shop. I'll post them on Monday. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. William won quite a few races on that quad even finishing 2nd O/A one year, just couldn't get Bill. I have built engines for William for many years including the years he rode the Z400 and LTR450. It was and is an awesome machine! I have three engines left and enough stuff left to fully crank up one (pipe, carb,ignition etc) These are for sale if anyone is interested.

Yes, that is one of the bikes. That is from the Legend's race in 2000 at the Ashtabula TT. Yes we used Mojave plastic as well. That's Jimmy White of course that Woodsracer has pictured. I'm sorry I wasn't able to get my pics posted, they are available for e-mail and maybe someone else could transfer them up to the site.

I remember my first gncc and seeing that bike... It was hands down my favorite quad i had ever seen and I didnt even know what it was for the most part haha

No, I did not work for Kawasaki. I have always worked with William Yokley and was used on the Team Green project through out the years William rode the bike. That is why I wasn't involved the first year when Bill Ballance rode it. I worked with some really good people at Team Green. Some other notes on the bike: we used a 250R air box although Ballance used a larger volume carbon fiber one that had too much flow. We also fitted a 250R pipe after much testing (brand I can't disclose) and a 36mm carb as opposed to the stock 38. The neatest part of the project was the genius of Doug Roll! That chassis was fantastic. A note on the last year William rode the bike, Kawasaki was starting to lose interest (They didn't even build a bike to sell so racing this one became hard to justify), but William began the year on a Honda all greened up so the impending change over would not come in the middle of the points chase. After a couple races Kawasaki released William to run what he needed to. It was not a bad blood parting as it might seem. The Kawasaki was a great machine and William will tell you today a great company to work with. Pics on the way to e-mail you.
