ok so i have an AC rear skid plate on my 07 yfz and i bashed it on a rock about 10 miles away from my house and had to ride it back home with it rubbing on my chain and basically stopping the quad when i held the clutch in. so i get home and take the skid plate off and go to tighten my chain and it wont tighten... is it stretched ? is my carrier broke? help me ! please and thank you

Mark one pin on your chain. Then count 15 pins from that one and measure the distance. Check in different lengths of chain. Be sure to push down on the chain to remove the slack before you measure.
If your measured distance is more than 240.5 mm / 9.47 in., then the chain should be replaced.
If you think the carrier is broke, you should probably pull it out and inspect it.
Do your wheels turn freely now that the skid plate is removed? Is your chain still in a bind??

i'd put a new chain on it. that bad and that distance, price of a new chain vs it coming apart and taking pieces of your engine with it.
