When I disassembled my engine, between the clutch cover and the oil pump, there is supposed to be a 10x10mm steel dowel, then an o ring around it. My question is do I need that steel dowel in place, because my dowel is MIA. Not sure ifI lost it, or if the previous builders left it out. I don't recall seeing it when I took case cover off. Thanks guys.

i good rule of thumb is if its got an o-ring its important lol but w/o seeing what your talking about im not sure what it is

I bought a new dowel and o-ring. Justpicked up today. Reassembly begins manyanna.
