i have an 07 450. i want to change the oil and filter. also does the trans take the same oil. pics of the engine drain plug for oil and trans fluid if diff would be helpfull. so far i removed the oil filter and drain the resevoir.
and coolant could i use reg coolant? thanks

Trans uses same oil; there are two drain bolts for the case on the bottom of the engine that drains the oil in the engine. I use Bel Ray Thumper 20w-50 oil and Engine Ice for the coolant.

I always used regular motorcycle oil form my dealer. My tranny would whine and shift rough. My engine would always feel resticted as well. I switched to amsoil motorcycle full synthetic. 10w40 in the summer 0w40 in the winter. Tranny problems disapeared and my engine felt like new. So i highly highly recommend using amsoil. Its a little more expensive but 110% worth it.

I use Mobil1 10W40 M4XT full synthetic off-road competition oil and I have no problems with it! The bike runs good IMO.
