More top end out of a 02 DS90

Hey I have a question about getting more top end out of my sons DS90. It seems it is restricted in the gearing more than anything else. 1st gear is pointless unless he is making a big hill climb. And 4 gear seems to be limited too by extremely high rpms at full throttle. Is there a magic sprocket combo to fix this? The only mods I have done is opened up the stock air filter cover and punched out the center tube in the muffler cap to get a little more flow. I'm still running the spark arrestor.
